New to Raw Feeding

Everything you need to start your dog on raw, with none of the guesswork.

Our new to raw feeding range is designed for dog owners making the switch from kibble, whether you're starting fresh or looking for a simpler way to understand what goes into your dog's bowl.

Each option has been selected to take the guesswork out of raw feeding, focusing on straightforward, recognisable ingredients that reflect what dogs are biologically built to eat. Because raw feeding can feel overwhelming at first, these products offer a natural entry point - from single-protein mince for easy digestion and ingredient awareness, to balanced blends that deliver complete nutrition in pre-portioned, ready-to-serve meals.

If your dog has sensitivities or skin concerns, our hypoallergenic raw dog food bundle offers limited-ingredient options to help identify and avoid triggers.

For those ready to build a more varied bowl, you can explore our full range in the all products collection, or add nutrient-dense organs to support a complete and balanced diet.

New to Raw Feeding FAQs

A general starting point is 2–3% of your dog's body weight per day, split across one or two meals. Active dogs or puppies may need more, while less active or senior dogs may need less.

If you're unsure, we'd recommend entering your dog's details into our Dog Feeding Calculator. This will then breakdown the exact ratios your dog needs, depending on their age, weight goals and other sensitivities. Read our raw feeding calculator guide for more info on how to interpret your results.

It depends on what you're feeding. Complete blends like the Adult Maintenance BARF Blend are formulated to provide the right balance of meat, bone, and organ in one product.

If you're building your own bowl with mince, you'll want to introduce variety over time, adding organs, raw meaty bones like chicken wings, and oily fish like sardines or fish bites helps round out the nutritional profile.

Most dogs do well with a gradual switch over 7–14 days, slowly increasing the proportion of raw while reducing kibble.

Starting with a single protein like Premium Beef Mince or Semi Lean Mince keeps things simple and makes it easier to spot any digestive changes during the transition.

Raw feeding is safe when handled with the same care you'd apply to raw meat in your own kitchen; keep it frozen until needed, thaw in the fridge, and wash hands and surfaces after handling.

Dogs are well-equipped to handle raw meat, and many dog guardians find their dogs thrive on it.

Starting with a single, easily digestible protein is the best approach for sensitive dogs. Semi Lean Mince is a lower-fat option that tends to be gentle on digestion, and Raw Goat Milk can support gut health during the transition.

If your dog has known allergies or intolerances, our hypoallergenic raw dog food bundle may be a better starting point.

Short answer: it's fine for most dogs during the transition period, though some owners prefer a clean switch.

Feeding both long-term is a personal choice; raw feeding advocates often recommend moving fully to raw to get the full benefit, but a partial raw diet is still an improvement over kibble alone.

Keep it frozen and thaw in the fridge as needed. Most products will keep for 2–3 days once thawed. Avoid refreezing thawed meat, and always serve at or close to room temperature rather than straight from the fridge.
